Enjoy a special talk and poetry reading with artist Ashley Norwood Cooper and poet A.E. Stallings. Ms. Stallings will read from her latest book of poetry, This Afterlife, and Ms. Cooper will discuss the paintings in her new exhibition Swarm: Works by Ashley Norwood Cooper. The pair will talk about the relationship between art and poetry and how their decades long friendship and creative exchange has influenced their work.
“The Revery Garden” – Children’s Programs featuring Crafting, Stories, and Poetry with Ashley Norwood Cooper
Saturdays: April 1, 15, and 29 from 11:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
Included with museum admission. Ages 19 and under are admitted free.
“The Revery Garden” is a series of three, one-hour courses featuring crafting, stories, and poetry taking place on select Saturdays in April. Children will work with artist Ashley Norwood Cooper to make an art installation called the “Revery Garden.”
